Self-testing of INR is allowing more people than ever to take control of their anticoagulation therapy. In fact, we’ve been inundated by your stories of how self-testing has changed your life for the better. As technology improves, we want to make sure that we make self-testing as convenient as possible for you. That’s why we’re excited to tell you about the latest innovation in INR self-testing technology. The new INRange meter, which launched in May 2017, gives you the freedom to test your INR from the comfort of your home, or out and about. This means spending less time waiting in clinics, and more time enjoying life – not to mention regular monitoring has been shown to increase time spent in your target range.1
Connected
The new INRange meter is the first fully connected self-testing meter. Using Bluetooth technology, it allows you to send your results straight to your healthcare professional as you receive them via an app. The app allows you the freedom to submit readings and receive dosage instructions at a time and place that is convenient for you. More information about the App can be found in the Sales Pack. Your clinic must agree to receive information in this way, so do check with them first.
You don’t need to use the App functionality if you would prefer not to. Indeed, the meter itself stores all the information, allowing you to view trends in your results over time with the option to download graphs to your own computer (via a USB cable provided with a meter purchase). The user functionality and colour display also allow you to quickly and easily see whether you are in your target range using just the INRange meter.
Accurate
The results from self-testing (following instruction from your clinic) are as accurate as the ones you would receive from the clinic 2,3, or the previous XS meter. Plus, you can view the results immediately – in the comfort of your own home.
Convenient
The INRange is a world away from waiting in clinics to see your INR results. You can self-test quickly and discretely from wherever you happen to be, at home or on the go. Also, the INRange meter’s connectivity options mean there’s no need to set aside time to call your healthcare professional, as the results can be sent straight to them through the app. This service availability will depend on whether your clinic is set up for the connectivity function and won’t be available in all areas from launch. You can contact your healthcare professional in your area to see if this is available to you.
Fast
No more waiting anxiously for results – they’ll appear on your screen in less than a minute. Your healthcare professional can then receive your results immediately if you are signed up for the App connectivity, giving you confidence and peace of mind.
New on screen design, Comments & Reminder Functions
Results are colour coded so they are easy to read and understand. You can set reminder alerts for when to test or take medication directly on your meter and add comments next to an INR result at the time of testing. The meter enables you to track your time in range by graphically displaying how many
times you have been within, above or below your target therapeutic range.

Take control
Being on warfarin shouldn’t have to take over your life. This new technology could give you up-to-the-minute confidence that you are in range, while allowing you to take control of your warfarin management and to enjoy the freedom from frequent clinic visits. All that’s left is to think of what you’ll do with all the time you save…
